Our baby boy that came in died on Christmas Day! His lungs were just too immature and he wasn't able to breath on his own. Unfortunately, we do not have many ventilators in Haiti. I have tried for years to get CPAP for the nursery but without any luck.
It is quiet at the orphanage right now because most of the volunteers are back in the States or Canada visiting their families. We have Susan, from Scotland, Betty, from The Netherlands, and Emeline from Ontario. More volunteers will come in January.

- I have lived in Haiti with my husband, John, and my children, Laurie, Mark, and Steeve, since 1991. I am originally from Monticello, Illinois, USA. I have 2 grown children, Katie and Patrick, who live with their families in the USA. God's Littlest Angels was founded on Christmas Day in 1994 when I took in a 1 pound 15 ounce baby girl. From there, the orphanage has grown to 150 children, 85 staff members, and an office in the USA and Canada. God is every faithful to us and we are in the process of fundraising to build a new orphanage in Fort Jacques, Haiti that will house all of the children in one location.
